Episodes from two 1950's western television series:
  • 26 Men - Series stars: Tristram Coffin, Kelo Henderson
This is a solid Western series, based on historical fact, about the Arizona Rangers formed in 1901. Many people are of the strong opinion that '26 Men' had "the best theme song of all the westerns." Originally aired in 1957.
26 Men enforced law in the Arizona territory. . .
26 Men lived to ride and ride again, to answer the call of duty. . .
26 Men lived to fight for justice, the rights and the liberty of all.

  • Sheriff of Cochise - Series stars: John Bromfield, James Griffith, Stan Jones, Robert Brubaker
The title role is played by John Bromfield, a jut-jawed, no-nonsense lawman in this contemporary western also set in Arizona. Cochise County, ergo, the name. Gunplay was played down while high speed chases and fist-fights were highlighted. Actor-songwriter Stan Jones created the series but left the show in 1958. The series originally aired from 1956-1958 as "Sheriff of Cochise" and from 1958-1960 as "U.S. Marshal."

Produced by Russell Hayden.
