Richard Greene plays Robin Hood, the dashing hero of Sherwood Forest in this adventure series set in medieval England. Robin Hood robs the rich and gives to the poor, liberates oppressed peasants and rescues maidens - all to the exasperation of the evil sheriff of Nottingham. Three episodes on one volume:

  • ONE MAN’S MEAT - Robin and Tuck fight their toughest battle. Save the serfs of a poverty-stricken nobleman from starving on his new “ambrosia” food. Guest Star: Robin Bailey.

  • WILL SCARLET - At the Blue Boar Inn Robin and Little John meet a proud dandy, Will of Winchester, who quickly falls foul with the Sheriff and as Will Scarlet, joins the band. With original commercials.

  • THE RIVALS - Trouble begins when the Sheriff tries to levy yet another tax to raise money. His lieutenant advises against this, so they plan to start their own outlaw band to steal from the poor and turn the people against Robin Hood. Guest Star: Carl Bernard.

" Series Synopsis: THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD brought this famous English swashbuckler to American television. Playing the lead is superb British actor, Richard Greene. The series was filmed entirely at English locations in London and in Sherwood Forest. The use of these authentic settings helped make this series stand out from other shows of the day which used indoor staging. Originally aired on CBS 1955-1958. "
